What’s the most traumatic experience you have ever experienced and lived to tell about ?

Thanks. That happened when I was 18. I’m in my early 20s now and I’ve had PTSD since I was 12. As far as I know, the people who I was with had not experienced trauma on that level before. That was part of the reason I volunteered to talk to the police. I figured it might be traumatic just to go back over the events so soon, but I had no idea they suspected someone could have killed him. Just wasn’t something I was thinking about at the time. When he was struck by the branch, I started panicking and I couldn’t move at all at first. That sort of compounded the trauma and the blame after all was said and done. What if being able to respond faster would have made a difference? I know it wouldn’t have, but I still can’t help but think it.
