What’s a real fact that some people don’t want to accept?

Even more, if you hate someone because they voted for a republican or democrat, then you are part of the problem contributing to political division.

We get it, the left won the culture war and therefore they believe their morals are inherently better than the right's.

But that doesn't mean people on the right are automatically misogynists because they voted for Trump, or racists because they believe in stiffer immigration, or child rapist enablers because they donate to the Catholic church.

That would be like saying the left are racists because they pay their taxes, which fund the prison system, welfare, etc. which are systematically designed to keep black people down.

I just don't get it.

My dad voted for Trump. I voted for Hillary. We both laugh at how fucking dumb both candidates were/are. Also Hillary is on record as an abuser to women who wanted to go public about Bill, much worse than anything Trump has ever done. But nobody brings that up because the left won the culture war. Sure my dad is a republican. And I don't love my dad any less because of it.

I will probably vote for Elizabeth Warren in 2020 but I don't agree that raising taxes on the rich will fund all her "feel-good" programs designed to socialise and mobilise the middle class. Instead, she is playing on people's emotions, and will have to raise taxes on EVERYONE to fund them, and her programs are no more likely to succeed than Trump's. Realigning the budget in a crowded Washington is nearly impossible, especially with the fake "hero thanking" that we have for our troops despite treating them like shit when they come home (yes both Republicans and Democrats are guilty of this cringey shit). However, since the left won the culture war, Elizabeth Warren is a hero and Trump is an idiot.

When in truth, they're both kinda both idiots and both smart at the same time. Nobody is perfect. We are more than a political alignment. And people who judge solely on that shit are the people causing the division. The left doesn't understand they are equally to blame for the political division. We all have a part to do, we all must be better.

I believe.
