I live on a church campus and act as a pseudo security dude to keep my rent down. Place is right next to one of three main parks in this tiny town, and is the one all of the homeless like to sleep at. Have had some harrowing experiences with people hanging out around here. I have a couple of people at our local police station that know me by name because of the amount of incidents of homeless people trying doors and or people who set up shop here angrily refusing to leave. Have got a couple of good stories, tbh.

Anyways, the most scary thing I've dealt with is waking up to someone pounding on my door at around 10 at night asking me why I was in there. After telling them that I lived there (had been for 2 years at that point), dude said that if "I was sure about that". I'm not sure what to do at this point due to having just been woken up and the sheer weirdness of what's going on so I default to tell him that he shouldn't be here and to go away. Dude says okay and goes away.

10 minutes later, and I get an even louder pounding on my door and a much rougher, older voice demanding that I come out. I told the dude no and that I live there, and the dude yells that he will call the cops if I don't come out. I'm freaking out at this point and just straight told the dude to go ahead and call them, I'm not coming out and I will also be calling the cops.

After about 15 seconds of back and forth in which the older dude and the one from before angrily insisting that I shouldn't be in there and that i would be arrested, I finally call the cops and loudly describe the situation to the operator, at which point they shut up and bugged out.
