What’s the smartest thing you’ve seen your pet do?

My cat has a favorite toy which is a pink boa on the end of a stick. The stick is plastic and bendy.

If I'm busy and she wants to play she won't be stopped. She found a way to play with this toy by herself.

She'll grab the toy where the boa and stick connect in her mouth. She'll shove the end of the plastic handle under a chair foot or something so it won't move and push with her mouth so that the handle bends. Then she releases the toy.

The fuzzy boa part pops into the air and she jumps after it.

That is mind blowingly smart. She also does this with her chase balls. She has some crocheted, fluff filled balls about the size of a baseball. I'll toss these past her and she'll go running for them.

If I'm busy she grab one these balls in her mouth, do a half jump flicking her head backwards, and toss the ball behind her a good 10 feet in the air, and then go running after it.

I'll occasionally come home to these balls on the kitchen counter because she threw on through the air and it landed up there.
