One night in my early 20s my husband and I drank most of a bottle of fireball. I was quite drunk but I did this sort of frequently and I figured I'd be sober by 2am like I always was. Next morning I wake up and my dumb ass is still decently wasted. I have no idea what I did differently that night but I was messed up 10 hours later still. I work in a courthouse and had to meet with a judge that morning and it just wasn't going to happen. I get in and ask my coworker to take care of what the judge needs. I should've just called in but again I was counting on being fine in like an hour. I ended up being dizzy and out of it all day.

I'm normally a very quiet, rule following person so the fact that I showed up to work messed up amused my coworker quite a bit and he's told this story to pretty much anyone that's met me at least once. He exaggerates it a lot too. Apparently I was tipsy and slurring my words the way he tells it.
