What’s the stupidest reason a guest has threatened to get you fired or written up?

A guest booked through Hotliar and got Pure Platinum Mad that they had to front a card for the deposit (we don't take cash deposits) and that whoever was providing deposit had to present a valid ID. When I explained such, they asked to see my manager. At around 23:00.

After they left they called us and asked to get my manager's numbers. Not the phone number of the property, but their cell numbers. I told them no and they fucked off and never contacted us again.

Please, don't book through Hotliar folks, particularly through their "hot rate" deal. "You get a hotel randomly picked for you" also means "You have to abide by randomly-chosen policies." One hotel in that pool may take cash deposit while another won't, or one hotel's deposit may be $100 and another's may be $40.
