Also, want to add that people have been telling me that Denver airport is super lax on vape pens and edibles being on me and I should be able to fly home with no problem. Is this true?

Super lax as in they will make you throw it away. You can chance it but transporting it through an airport is a federal offense so it depends on risk/reward on your behalf.
