What’s up with this “cop city” thing near Atlanta GA?

Not law enforcement but an instructor who regularly uses roleplay and simulations for training:

The concept vr or a smaller studio can benefit but not complete supplement all the potential scenarios one can encounter. I think 85 acres or whatever is way too much for this, but I can understand why facilities where they’re allowed to make real time mistakes with no consequences is important to training.

Vr absolutely cannot prepare you for the physiological reactions one gets in high stress scenarios. I’d akin it to a boxing vr game. Much different when you’re actually getting hit and your body is reacting to its environment.

I agree with the protestors here but understand the need and there should be a better small scale solution. Something more modular with a smaller footprint can accomplish the same results
