Great post. I think I agree with you 100% on what's working vs. what's not. I'm loving the raid and dungeon, and all the moon has to offer. The introduction of Ordeals and 980 stuff is a great time.

Like you, I also LOVE Eris' weekly lore quests. I haven't seen story telling like this before in D2, and I really feel like I got to know who Eris' fireteam members were, and what happened to them in a time long ago. I love this delivery vehicle and think it could be used more often and to greater effect to tell backstories and/or advance the narrative.

That said, the final assault was very underwhelming - this can't be it, right? Given that it was a critical moment in the story, i thought it would be epic. But it wasn't. I'm cautiously holding out hope that something will change in the final week of the final assault - but the odds of that happening are low.

I'm hoping that the story of the Undying doesn't end on such an underwhelming note as well. I'm really hopeful that the story becomes a powerful force to direct the players in the universe - the story needs more love than the Final Assault.
