I remember many moons ago, first day of history in college, we did an ice breaker get to know each other kind of thing, and the lecturer asked who our personal hero or heroine was.

As it went round the group with the standard Ghandi, Churchill, Pankhurst etc, it got to the guy next to me who proudly proclaimed his hero or heroine to be none other than Hitler.

Obviously we were all giving him the "what the actual fuck?!" stares, so the lecturer asked him why Hitler.

"Well, he was pretty bad wasn't he? With the Jews and everything" "Yeah, so why does that make him your hero?" "Nah, he's a heroine isn't he"

Only then did we realise he thought heroine meant villain.
