I did read a couple that said mil so that is when I made the comment. I was just thinking today, actually, that a majority of women (obviously who have kids/step kids) will one day be mother in laws if not already and it’s weird how they don’t know (hopefully they are unaware of the things they do that piss off the dil instead of knowing and continuing) the things they are doing are causing someone to feel that way. My mom and I fought a lot growing up but now I have my daughter and we get along much better. Years of not talking and a lot of other things helped us get to the point but I do know she does things unknowingly that irk my sil. I guess it’s a kind of one of those things in a sense that some mil do things mostly out of generosity but it comes across as bitchy/ attacking
