What’s your biggest gripe with ‘Alien: Covenant’ (2017)?

That aside from the men saying “my wife” like 9 times, they have next to no romantic connection with one another. All of these people seeing their spouses viciously slaughtered and murdered in front of them by aliens and get over it like ten minutes later.

I wish the couple aspect was more well written and present as appose to just another plot for an ‘Alien’ sequel/prequel.

Also, the twist with Walter actually being David is so weird to me for a number of reasons. It’s extremely obvious the second it happens. We get a lingering shot of his face after he exits the building after fighting with him, we also get multiple shots of the camera focusing on his severed wrist (A Neomorph bite it off earlier), then we get a shot of him somewhat smiling after Daniels and Tennessee find Lope dead. Was the point to make it so obvious to the audience it was actually David so that we would be scared for Daniels, Tennessee and Lope? Cause it didn’t work, if that wasn’t the intention then it failed miserably
