When I was about three years old I went apple picking with my family and a single aunt. I had been pretty rambunctious as a child and was throwing around apples at my siblings.

When we got home I got scolded and spanked like never before for throwing an apple and hitting my aunt in the head with it. I was pretty sure I had only been targeting my sisters but figured it was a Seinfeld magical loogie situation and it somehow maybe managed to bounce off of them and hit her accidentally in he head. I got my trouncing and obviously would never do it again. I would be reminded several times a year when I did see her not to throw anything or hit her in the head. It became a long running joke in the family.

About 25 years later my sister told me the truth. She was actually the apple thrower. Even as a three year old I had my suspicions that it couldn’t have been me but thought I had come across a magical apple. People still believe it was me that threw it but me and my sister now know the truth.
