What scares you about society that no one is talking about?

What to do if we can't fix global warming.

We shouldn't be arguing about whether it's man-made.

We shouldn't even be arguing about whether or not we can stop it.

Instead, we should be figuring out how to deal with it.

Our current discourse is basically, "OMG guys, who set this house we are in on fire? It's entirely in flames and we'll be dead of smoke inhalation soon but we have to figure out whether lightening set it on fire, or if it was Bob leaving the burner on! Also, even though it's way too late to put this fire out, let's argue about whether we should use a fire extinguisher or cups of water!"

No, get out of the fucking house. The house is on-fucking-fire, and you can't fix it. So leave the house and move and use different resources.

For us, this would look like: moving away from coasts and way more nuclear power, to start. Farming bugs, too. I know, icky. But we have the technical capacity to survive this. (We even have the technical capacity to survive the inevitable massive ice age that our carbon emissions have temporarily staved off.) But our tech doesn't matter if we continue to argue, like some idiots in a zombie apocalypse movie who would obviously survive if only they didn't hate each other.
