What scares you most in movies? What scares you the least?

Least: Superficial "ideas" of what is scary but not actual things to be fearful of, i.e. writing that looks like it was scribbled by someone out of their mind, little girls talking in a singsong voice, etc. These things have the label of "being scary things" but they don't actually instill fear. Why Hollywood does it still is not a mystery to me: people are scared by dumb shit.

Most: Actually unstoppable people with an idea in their head that you can't get them to stop obsessing over. Monsters aren't scary, humans are monsters. We made monsters up. They're inside of us. What does that mean for a scary individual? Rapist, obsessive killer, someone with an ideology that they use for bad, etc.

Most favorite characters/villains fall under the second category. I don't believe people are walking around worrying about the girl from the Ring. I think you're worried about your next door neighbor spying on you and killing you because they felt like it and everyone knows law enforcement can't actually stop someone determined and smart enough and we can all relate to that intelligence. I cannot relate to a big monster. I have not seen one or heard its thoughts and frustrations.

Essentially, I ain't no bitch.
