There's no fucking way that could have happened without leaving any evidence. The US had the radar capabilities in the 1950s and 60s to track anything the USSR put into space. They had to, just in case what the USSR put into space was a nuclear warhead speeding on its way to...Omaha or someplace. Even an abandoned spacecraft with a dead cosmonaut on board would be tracked by radar. The second object ever put into orbit by the US is still in orbit, it is still tracked by radar and it's smaller than a watermelon:

People make up shit like that because they can't believe or face the fact that the Russians got into space first. And were ahead of the West in ballistic missile technology at the time.
