What sentence do you think Derek Chauvin should face?

Take it from the son of a prosecutor, you don’t get manslaughter if you choke someone out by crushing their throat for 8 minutes.

In your own words, bro what? Knowledge of law isn't some hereditary shit. You go to school and you learn. I doubt (at least I hope) that your prosecutor parent doesn't come home and discuss the inns and outs of what counts as murder in the first and second degree with their child(ren).

Anyone even entertaining the thought of manslaughter knows nothing about the law.

If the police manual states that applying moderate pressure to the neck is ok then I think there's a clear case for manslaughter. Someone was resisting arrest and the officer applied an approved restraint, how is that not a clear argument for lack of intent. The reason this goes to court is so that both sides present evidence and get to argue their case, you as a random individual (even if your family works in law) cannot know what evidence will be presented and what argument there might be, unless you profess to be informed on every aspect of this case.
