What separates the flames from being true contenders

I'm just so tired of seeing this team dominate the season like the buff SpongeBob boxer and then do a 180 and turn into the round polished neat and tidy SpongeBob looking for a handshake come playoff time.

Ok fine we won a round, but for all these "cup experience" guys we went out and got they really have done fuck all to help the team understand what it takes from the looks of things. I get that there's probably lots talked about amongst the team in the room that we don't hear but it really doesn't appear to be translating to the play on the ice.

There's plenty of killer instinct during the regular season and then come playoffs it just doesn't translate.
