Oh, there are way more boys being sexually assaulted, it just isn’t reported as much. If you think women are afraid to speak out because no one does anything, it’s worse for the guys in that area.

I grew up in the age of don’t ask don’t tell and anything that could be considered as “gay” was demonized. Yes, even a victim that is straight faces the worst kinds of judgement.

These days? I wouldn’t know, but I doubt people changed much.

Source: I was raped for over two years by a friends older brother and his friend - why didn’t I speak out? I was 13 and they were in high school. They threatened to kill my family and dog if I said anything. I kept that secret for many years - dealing with guilt that these assholes likely raped many others. Fear can be a cruel thing when you don’t know how to use it.

All of this to say, 1 in 6 boys is complete bullshit, as is 1 in 4 girls (the overwhelmingly majority of women have been sexually assaulted in one way or another).

These people destroy lives and deserve nothing less than a painful death. Thanks for coming to my RANT talk.
