If this was CS or EEE or the like, I’d say no, definitely not, but I know that Manchester is really a science and engineering university. It really doesn’t rank well for economics, and I don’t think it would offer as much as the Unis you’ve mentioned, if I’m being totally honest. I don’t think Edinburgh would offer more either, as both Manchester and Edinburgh are semi-targets (at best) for IB and the like.

Warwick, LSE, UCL, and Oxford are all targets, which unfortunately makes a big difference. Finance is still a profession with a lot elitism (to the point where they don’t even target to universities that are top 30 in the world).
