What you should know about Design by contract

I've tried to open that page with my uMatrix addon. That page that is supposed to be a puny article is pulling all kinds of data (that I have no interest in) from two dozens of more or less related domains. I couldn't get it to work without allowing something I have no idea what is supposed to do.

How did we get here from a simple HTML with useful content, to some kind of evil nexus that can't display anything without giving me the "loading..." message and some idiotic spinner which only conveys me the message that the site is so bloated with uselessware that I need to wait while it loads.

I know that I will be answered that "everyone is doing it, if you don't like it, good luck living with lynx in 2016". But it is insane, really.

But screw these kind of pages. Breaking the Web further, piece by piece, because three gazillion freshmen "full stack" Web developers have jumped on the Web 34.0 bandwagon, does not make the road more appealing.

No more ITimagination.com for me, those guys are imagining things.
