I would imagine that he knows the laws. It’s a USDOT registered truck that requires a commercial driver’s license. It isn’t a simple pick-up style work truck. This is an F-550 with rear dual wheels and extra high bed cap. Plus, in my opinion, it is pretty common knowledge that commercial vehicle traffic isn’t allowed to even pass through, let alone take up overnight parking, in residential areas. I have no doubt that he is aware of his illegal parking.

I do strongly agree with your “tit for tat” and “live and let live” comments. That’s why I’m so torn over this. However, I moved to this area purposely because it’s nicer and more pleasant than where I lived prior. We have association bylaws that I took seriously when purchasing the house.

One could consider this a public safety issue because the truck takes up more space on the street than a passenger vehicle. It restricts the view of traffic behind it. This is the very reason why there are bylaws and ordinances against it.
