What should every 18-year-old know?

4 short tips

  1. Have a plan for college. The big names aren't necessarily the best if you have to spend a ridiculous amount of money to attend.
  2. When choosing your major think about what you would possibly want to do for your working career and what you are good at. In the end no one does exactly what they want to do, nothing is perfect. You want to pick a major which you will be able to get a job in four years.
  3. Take community college level courses and transfer these into your college you will want to attend. These can be taken in high school, over summers, etc.
  4. Save money. Don't spend everything you make from a job. It is tempting to hangout with friends and spend money going out to eat, the movies, clothes, and video games. Make sure you're always saving.
