What is the silliest myth you've ever heard or had to debunk about being a woman?

I have a theory as to how this myth became so prevalent...

Firstly, lots of people see women as “emotional” and lump a whole heap of different emotions into just saying “she’s upset”

Second, I don’t just talk about WHAT happened, I talk about WHY and how it made me feel.

Through all the nuance, what gets through is “she is upset with her friend”.

If a man is pissed at his friend, this isn’t seen as “emotional”. Therefore, not considered drama. AND they are not encouraged to be as open about the WHY, and the HOW.

TL;DR: there are societal norms that prevent men from expressing emotion and write off emotion from women as “dramatic”
