What small action did you take that you later realized had “butterfly effect” that turned into something much more important?

I kept a diary as a young kid and I realised it was really boring so I tried using more emotive language and exaggerating my opinions. Then at a sleep over my older brother held me down while my best friend (A) read the diary. This led to our friendship ending and me introducing myself to the new kid (B) in school so I wouldnt be friendless. Through B I met 3 other guys who were all assholes and made 3 years of my life pretty shitty. If I had stayed friends with A I would have met much more pleasant people and a few more girls too and probably would've lost my virginity before 19. I think I'd be a much happier and sociable person if I'd stayed friends with A and never talked to B.
