Being a pedophile does not automatically make you a rapist. Raping a child should carry severe punishment, but people should feel safe to come out as pedophiles and seek help.

You think people having a strong reaction to a group of people who are potentially child rapists is what drives them underground? I don't think its the ones who don't act on it that need help. You can have a paraphillia and be in control of it. Its actually your attitude that leads sex offenders activities to be marginalised: "oh he's just sick he needs help"
