What is something everyone should know how to do at age 30?

There are many paths to getting Black-Pilled (depressed/nihilistic about how the world is organised), but one of my fav. to see is renters investing into their Landlord's property. Many good people jump right into it, thinking that's the way you're supposed to do it, and then they get fucked over, either passively ("no, sorry, i don't like the color you painted it, please undo it." or "man I really want to update this gross patio/terrace and lay some fresh stones, but I'm not allowed to throw away the old stones even though their garbage, and I might have to take the new stones away with me when I move out, which I wont and it'll be expensive... or I have to ask the landlord first, and we don't have that sort of relationship"), or actively ("you added a 4 new circuit breakers to the electrical system!? well in that case it's your fault a mouse chewed through this cable and you have to pay the $5000")

And it only takes 1 event and enough time for someone to process, that rentals-for-life will bring you immense unhappiness. You need to own your own land. Too bad you work at Starbucks with your PhD in Genomics.
