What is something everyone should own that costs less than $100?

The moment I moved into a house I wanted to get into homelabbing.

Anyone that doesn't know what it is, /r/homelab

My current homelab has a 2TB RAID10 array for all my virtual machines.

It also has a 40TB RAID10 for my backups.

I'm currently saving up to buy another machine, not sure which one yet, but I plan on slowly building it up with 8TB drives. The r720xd has 24 drive bays, which is almost 200TB. But the docs say it only supports 50TB so I'm not sure if there's been a firmware update since then that changes it.

"Who the fuck needs that much storage"

Not me. But when I saw /r/datahoarder I shat myself.

When I log into my VM manager(proxmox) and see 40TB I shit myself. It's almost therapeutic.

Being able to take backups of my backups and still not even leave a dent in my storage space is great.

Also, if anyone thinks I'm trying to suggest this as their backup method, no. I'm not. It's expensive and overkill. My electric bill is ~60 more a month than it needs to be.

I enjoy it though so I don't care that it's costly.
