What is something that you grew up thinking was normal, but later found out that it wasn't?

The shape of my head. It's sort of like Flat Head Syndrome. Search t up if you want to see what it looks like in babies. You'll notice here how I said in babies, that's because almost all the pictures are of it in babies because most parents will notice something's wrong and you can get special helmet things to somewhat correct the shape of the skull before it all fuses together. Unfortunately, my parents did not do this which makes me one of the few adults who has a skull like this. The way I look different makes me extremely depressed, I'm pretty sure (in a society where looks are everything) I will never get in to a relationship. I will probably die alone. I really would like to kill myself at this point to get it all over with and save time, but I'm too scared to do it.
