So many terrible things

I’ve broken into houses, boats, cars. Stolen so many things. Lived in a place near water with a lot of seasonal residents. Got on a small boat and cruised past the wealthier neighborhoods right when it just gets dark. If the lights are out that early, great chance of nobody being home. Pull up to their dock, steal everything off their boat while a lookout watches the house. No activity at the house? We’re going in. We were still young shit heads at the time, so we were never interested in anything large like TVs and stuff. We took guns, cash, jewelry, stereo equipment, and we got a lot. There were three of us, often coming up with new schemes. We would rob Walmart all the time. One person go in one entrance, buy some expensive radio equipment and come outside to hand the receipt to the next person. The next person would go in a different entrance, grab the product off the shelf and walk out the different entrance with the receipt in hand. We would get three of one item while paying cash for just one, then go to the Walmart across town to return one and get our cash back.

Times have changed. One of the trio went rogue with others trying to pull our scams. He got caught, and us other two quit while we were ahead. Walmart explicitly looks for people doing these things now. Wealthier people have better security systems nowadays, and camera systems are cheap. Now two of us are good, respectable men with families, well paying jobs, and a plast that will only be told over a throwaway account.
