What was something you saw you were definitely not supposed to see?

SFW one...

Working at the first job out of college I was a programmer. Anyway one of the major things was a private program made so only the top most management could communicate with each other outside of e-mail. I decided I would look into that program and see if I could make any improvements because again it was probably one of hte most important programs from management's POV.

So another programmer gave me the source code and it worked okay. Then I wanted to work on it from another computer so I went to take a database backup of the test environment. Well... it turns out someone was backing up the prod database and putting the backups where the test backups went. So when I loaded my 'test' database on the new machine I now had a view of what all the top level managers were discussing.

Nothing illegal (obviously) going on. I think the worst thing I saw was where one year they wanted to force everyone (except for themselves) to take a pay cut in order to make sure their numbers for their bonuses were met. Most managers seemed on board for it but the CEO shot it down.
