I’d say I’m fairly liberal, and I agree with a lot of things on the left but this just seems... a bit ridiculous if I’m gonna put it bluntly. Raping someone is a pretty severe and violent act. In sexual assault or creepy encounters I understand - no means no.
Forcing someone to hug you, especially your child, is not “disrespecting their body” though. We have a weird culture that hates parents who don’t discipline their children, but ironically also thinks parents should be pushovers to their kids like this.
I just feel like there is WAAAY too much forcing this “no means no” mentality in places it doesn’t belong (aka outside of sexual assault or related scenarios).
