What is something you wish someone told you while training for your first race?

  1. That my body somehow knows whats comming and race morning wants to visit toilet like four times in two hours. Both for number 1 and 2.
  2. First few kilometers are crowded and i've spend most of the time not trying to hit anyone or trying not to fall over.
  3. Adrenaline rush is real and i had to monitor my pace constantly in order not to push too hard in first half of the race. It also doesn't help that in the first half of the race you are either constantly passing others or are being passed, so you can't just stick with the crowd.
  4. It's way more fun than i've expected. Aftrr race they had snacks, water, massage. After my 10K race i went to cheer for marathoners and it was very fun.
