What is something you're sick of seeing people "romanticize"?

"leftist media"

oooh boy, where's the crazy shit or straw man arguments...

"vice's take on..."

There it is. It wouldn't be a proper shoehorning of Conservative talking points into everyday conversation without some crazy shit or some strawmaning.

Saying Vice represents the media is like saying Westboro Baptist Church represents all Christians. It's a small company that's obviously biased, and very few people out of their teenage years actually take it all as fact. I've literally never heard any actual news outlet glamorize poverty, and I read articles from several sources every single day, both Conservative and liberal. The closest you will ever see is an article praising someone's cleverness for creating some technology while in poverty, but those are always presenting the poverty as a huge negative that the person had to overcome.

I know picking a crazy or insignificant person/viewpoint and arguing against it to artificially inflate your position is basically fox news's favorite tactic, but that doesn't have a place in the real world.
