What stage of grief are you guys at?

I agree. I too wonder where do we go ? So here’s my prediction. So it’s 2022. Frost has improved somewhat. In spite of starting off with two losing seasons he’s done better. The thing is it’s not anywhere near husker standards. He did okay in 2020 getting 9 wins and in 2021 Adrian Martinez got hurt but he played enough to lead the team to an 8-5 record. 2022 was similar and Nebraska finished 7-6. His total record at Nebraska a dismal 32-31. Fans are frustrated. Pundits say Nebraska just isn’t a power anymore and might not be. They aren’t Kansas bad, but it’s almost worse. They are mediocre.

AD Bill Moos retires but everyone knows it’s because Frost hasn’t been a success. He says he loves the people and the state and was treated well. As for Frost, he resigns too. He’s only beat Iowa three out of 5 times and he hasn’t been close to beating Wisconsin. Frost leaves and now Nebraska needs a new AD and coach. To make things worse, Tom Osborne recently passes. Husker Nation is in mourning. It feels as if it’s the end of an era.

As such Nebraska gets a younger AD with a solid track record. He then hires that years MAC coach of the year. Fans are excited but with Frosts failure and TOS death things are dire in Nebraska. At least in terms of football. Volleyball has won 2 national titles since 2019 and Fred Hoiberg finally got a tourney win, twice. He also has only lost to Creighton once.

Now remember fans this is what I think happens at worst. I still think we have potential to win at 7 more games. It’s there. It’s still early. Also our schedules are favorable in 2020 and 2021. And things change pretty quickly. For all we know Martinez gets it together at some point and really leads this team. It might be very good. The scary thing is anything could happen. All I ask is that we stay fans.
