Back in 1999, me, my boyfriend, and two of our friends all set out on the road from Oklahoma to Woodstock in New York. On the way there, nothing really unexpected occurred. Of course while we were there, the whole situation was utter chaos. The fires breaking out were the scariest parts of it. But then on the way back we got into a bit of trouble.

We decided to make a quick trip to Canada (I forget why) and on the way back we of course had to go through customs. They were immediately suspicious of us and had us pull inside to be inspected. My boyfriend shoved the last reminding amount of weed at me and told me to do something with it. It was probably a dime. In his defense, his line of thinking was that I was 17 and he was over 18, so he could've got in a lot more trouble if he was caught with it. I quickly shoved it under the seat as tiny as I could crumple it. The other two guy friends in the back seat, did the same thing. A tiny amount and one of them shoved it under the seat.

They had us go inside the building and searched us while they had other officers outside searching the car. We were beyond frightened. Even more so when they found screens in my purse. I totally forgot about them. Two days before, one of the friends spilled a pack of them and I just temporarily decided to put them in my purse.

Finally, the officers came inside and after waiting a little while longer, we were told we could leave. They never found the small amounts of pot, or if they did, they didn't think worthwhile enough to prosecute. We were extremely relieved.

Then, on the way back, somewhere in Ohio, we got rearended which took about 3 hours out of our time. We somehow lost a muffler so the rest of the way back, it was constantly loud and annoying. But I was extremely happy and thankful that we all made it home safe and sound.
