What is the strangest human interaction you've ever had?

Visiting Berlin, it's midnight and I'm at my AirBnB apartment address.

The host expected me about half an hour later than I'd arrived, I called him he said he was at work and 15mins away.

So I'm standing outside an apartment block which overlooks a dark park. A few minutes later this guy appears, maybe 30ish with a hoodie and baseball cap.

He's walking along the footpath through the park, maybe 50m away, but he's weaving back and forth over the next few minutes, getting gradually closer until he's literally pacing in front of me and my luggage. As he walked passed me he'd stop about 3m away, swivel and look at me... And I'd look back at him. After a few laps I said "Hello" to no response.

Anyway, as he was pacing I pulled up my backpack and started rustling in a pocket. While I did this he expanded his pacing radius and walking around the corner of the building, out of sight. I then realised it probably looked like I was fumbling for a weapon... But I was just hungry. Seconds after I pulled out a banana he re-emerged and looked over at me. I just peeled and casually ate the banana as he continued pacing in front of me, stopping, swivelling and looking over before walking back again, all within a few metres.

Then he just walked back around the corner and disappeared.

Felt like I was in a David Lynch movie.

tl;dr - Dude in Berlin emerges from park at midnight, paces silently back and forth while staring at me.
