What subculture do you genuinely not understand?

Just because you might disagree with something, it doesn't make it wrong. There's always more than one argument, but it's up to you whether you take the opposing argument into consideration.

Take a recent example, his repealing of the ACA. The argument that a lot of people opposing the repeal take up is that it disadvantages poor people "but he's basically making healthcare more expensive by making it less affordable". The argument supporting the repeal is that the ACA was bad, you had massive percentage premium increases and it was shoved down your throat.

All I want to say is make sure you see both sides of the argument equally. Read both sides of the argument and do your research, don't just click onto The Washington Post or Buzzfeed because you know you will agree with it, read other news articles which provide opposing viewpoints. The whole reason Trump supporters hate liberals so much is because many of them are so intolerant and unwilling to consider the other side of the argument. Both sides are guilty of this.

TL;DR: Take into account the opposing viewpoint with an open mind and don't be a bigot.
