Not that I want to validate this with a response, but by minimizing grief (even for a broken computer!) you are showing your friend that you are incapable of compassion, which is like....the entire fucking point of a friendship. Having someone to be mutually feel compassion with, back and forth. You're saying "my function as a friend is flawed, like some faulty computer code, therefore I serve no true purpose in this friendship."

Anyways, you got someone to bite from your obvious rage-bait, good job! When your parent dies, I hope there's some edgy overly-logical person in your life to tell you that they're just a member of the great ape family and their sole function was to consume food and water to which you now don't have to provide, which is a benefit to you.
