What was a surprisingly good experience you've had with a police officer?

I've had to deal with cops 5 separate times in my life, all of them bad except one. A coworker had a party, I showed up briefly before going to a different event. I was the only person 21 or older (I was 21). I didn't bring any alcohol and I wasnt even drinking because I was to go out and there was a lengthy drive. So kids keep showing up, and Im like holy crap these people are really young but I don't think much of it, Im mostly discussing video games with my friend. Welp, sheriffs show up. Holy shit I have had this happen before, I am totally freaking out enough as it is. They had cops go out back and front so nobody could get out. Once they had gathered us all into the living room, he tells us to all line up with our ID's. He started from the front and made each person state their age. It wasnt until a few people in that I realized this is about to get worse for me, everyone is significantly under the drinking age. There were a few 14 and 15 year olds, I couldnt believe it, but I should have suspected bc my coworker has a younger brother. I get to the front of the line, I just say "21", the guy doesnt even look at my ID, tells me to sit down. The other police had been gathering the other people that went through the line, getting them grouped up with sober drivers to be taken home, no punishment. Just told them to go home, and make sure the driver isnt drunk. So they get through everyone, almost everyone has left except a few they couldnt arrange rides for, the guys that lived at the house, and this one asshole who refused to show ID. In hindsight, this was probably bc he was 21 or over. So the cops sit us all down and start to lecture us, particularly me and this other guy, about how much shit i could be in for providing alcohol to minors. So while Im basically shitting my pants and being as compliant, yes-sir no-sir as I can, this other guy is mouthing off to them. It gets so bad that the rest of us are basically yelling at him to STFU while this cop is trying to teach us a lesson as its slowly becoming apparent that we might be getting some mercy. Eventually the cops finish, say they will be coming back when my coworkers parents are home from vacation to fill them in, and that we are free to go. I was so happy I cried when I got in my car. That is probably the best experience I will ever have with law enforcement.
