What symptoms do you experience when you feel the anxiety kicking in?

I had an extremely heavy bout of anxiety yesterday, I was on the edge of having a panic attack but held it at bay by getting out of the situation at hand.

The big things I felt were depersonalizing, raised heartrate, an inability to keep still, impending doom and general discomfort, an inability to continue my train of thought, I kept zoning out and was blinking quickly while my vision darted from one stationary object to the next.

I sat down and said to my partner "I cannot do (the thing we were doing with friends) I'm about to break down" with tears in my eyes. She got me out and helped me calm down. Had that not happened the heart rate would've gone to "pounding in my chest" and my vision usually tunnels and blurs at that point as I start hyperventilating.
