What twist in a movie disappointed you greatly?

Not OP and it's been years since I watched the movie (always loved that ending), but that comment self explanitory, really.

Beginning of movie: Monkey goes through wormwhole, Marky Mark follows him and then the whole ship. However, when Marky Mark arrives the planet has already been taken over, so that means the ship got there first (it's not even implied in the movie, it's obvious as you see the crashed ship old as hell and what not) and it was the other monkeys on board of that ship that "colonized" the planet.

So when at the end Marky Mark leaves, sometime later the bad apes followed his steps for whatever reason, but since they went after him, they reached the destination first.

You could point out the obvious plot hole "how does the wormhole know who was first and how to delay or speed up one or another", but then again this is a science fiction movie.

I'm sure they could just say that the wormhole diferentiates dna and that it had nothing to do with the order, but the wormwhole being able to categoraze its travelers. Ship in the beginning has more alive beings so it's smarter and get's priority, then human, then ape. When coming back, the apes are smarter than Marky Mark, so that's why they overtake them, or he just traveled to the wrong time again... (I just made up this theory)
