I left high school in 2011 and I’d say my music taste is the same as it was back then, very random lol. In general I feel out touch with music 2013/14ish onwards tbh by then I found myself going back and listening to the older music of my high school days (late 2000s mostly) and exploring more music older than myself. I feel like nothing tops the songs of your youth. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying I don’t try to listen to the new music that’s out there, I recently discovered Yot Club aka Ryan Kaiser who is a 1998 born low-fi bedroom pop artist, call me mainstream/Gen Z for it but I don’t even care because his songs are a vibe it’s great!
