What university rankings do you consider reliable?

Can I have a rant? University rankings are merely a tool, like exam grades, to please parents and snobs. They fundamentally undermine the concept of meritocracy. Knowledge is knowledge you can get it for free from a book at a library. What your paying for is a teenage middle management training school with a reputation that matches your socio-economic status. So when you go to your job interview they can grade you against their own status. Really the 'rankings' are useless. Go chat with the lecturers, how will your course be assessed...the content of your course compared with other course's, start using some critical thinking because that's what your supposed to be learning. Or get caught up in the bullshit. If school was about learning then why don't they give you back your exam paper after its marked? Thanks cue down votes!
