Victories:

• Found a place to live after my lease ends in June.

• After being initially upset about it, I'm warming up to a consulting project I've been assigned to.

Defeats:

• Just found out that I won't be passing one of my grad school classes, and, thus, I'll be spending another 4 months retaking it next year. Time management skills learned the hard way, but at least they've been learned.

• My mom's lovely husband passed away unexpectedly. Growing up, my dad was an abusive husband to her, and it was really nice to see her remarry to someone nicer almost a decade after my dad died. Unfortunately, her 2nd marriage only lasted 16 months.
