There's honestly a lot of really genuinely good performances in the X-Men movies. Like they would go all in on Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen being classic Shakespearean actors and let them give characters genuine gravitas. Hugh Jackman went the Clint Eastwood route, Jennifer Lawrence went with repressed rage, Alan Cumming went timid, Halle Berry went with a bad accent. It's nice to see a range of performances as opposed to charming leading actor most of the time.

Oh god yeah lol. Then again he was good in Dark Phoenix and Alien: Covenant so at least he never phones it in. And he has a Fincher movie coming up! Shit, maybe he'll have a good movie comeback?
