You keep pointing to the electoral vote but you can't exactly compare electoral votes for different elections. It just doesn't work that way. But, we do have some indication of how popular a President is based on the popular vote to determine some kind of assessment based on data.

These things we can derive from the data:

• Much less Democrats turned out to vote for Hillary. (presumably because she isn't popular)

• Trump less votes than the past two Republican candidates. (presumably that he did not grow the Republican base)

From these two points, one can make a guess to say that "Trump only won because Hillary was such a shit candidate that a lot of Democrats didn't even bother to vote for her."

I get that you think Trump won because was bold in ways others are not but that's just not supported by facts. Haven't given me anything that supports that other than, that's what Gingrich said.
