What website did you used to frequent, but do not anymore?

Facepunch Forums.

If you've ever gone on there for anything not related to Gmod, let me break it down for you circa 2009-2010.

Shitposts Galore

  • Do you like tired, old copypasta? Do you like long, rambling tales that make no sense whatsoever? Well then, have I got a story for you, because The Badage Boys are Back in Town!

Side note: If you can actually figure out that entire rambling story and condense it into something that makes sense, you may get gilded. Not by me, I'm poor. But someone else might be impressed enough.

  • Do you like tired, old spamming dipshits? Why, do I have the person for you!

His name is Doug.

He wants to rename Facepunch to Dougpunch.

And... That's about it.

But he'll tell you every single week on a new alt, with a new thread. And if you post in that thread, you get banned yourself.

Yep. Every week.

Some say they've still never heard about an IP ban...

Furry Porn, because we can't have nice things. Ever.

Ah yes, and then there was the furry subforum. Then that got removed. And then a shitstorm was started, where furries wanted their own subforum back. Some went off to create Lifepunch. And then, there was the Dragon megathread, started in GENERAL DISCUSSION. Do you know what the majority of the dragon megathread was?

If you guessed "Lots of gay dragon porn", congratulations, you win nothing because there wasn't a contest.

To recap, rather than having a seperate forum for this sort of thing, the admins decided furry porn was needed in a general discussion forum. That's like putting personal anecdotes in /r/news, it makes absolutely no fucking sense and wasn't necessary. But why did they do it?

Because one of the lead admins is/was a furry and liked his dragon porn.

Speaking of which.

Shit Mods

Hey, do you think some of the mods on subreddits are uptight cockgobblers with no sense of humor? Boy, you'll think they're lax as shit after you try dealing with facepunch's mods.

Just to list off a few, you can read more in-depth about their fuckery at the links.

All in all, Reddit's mods sound like a bunch of fine, upstanding and in-general level-headed bunch compared to these fuckwits.

The OIFY

The /r/spacedicks of facepunch. 'Nuff said.

Conclusion

A realm of shitposts, angst, idiocy and generally a much more unpleasant attitude from the users than reddit, I left in mid-2012ish and never looked back.
