What websites have you slowly stopped visiting?

9gag. Maybe this sounds weird or it has been said before. I used to be a person that visited this cancerous page on a daily basis. I even had a post that reached the "hot" page on 9gag. I know, i should be ashamed of myself. I was younger back then, the reddit layout always scared me away, 9gag was perfect for my young brain. I also happen to be german. There are a lot of germans on 9gag, because it attracts unintelligent people.

Sounds offensive, but if you look into the data, every german has the right to information, so internet is basically a human right here, even people that recieve social funding get internet paid by the gevornment.

That is obviously a good thing. But as we know, you can say that about 50% of germans didn't recieve the best education, knowledge-wise and politically-educated wise (e.g they don't really know HOW bad racism is) So alot of not-that-educated germans are swarming the whole internet (just like europe a decade ago lel)

I witnessed the 9fag community getting worse and worse. People trashing refugees, roasting vegans and stuff like that. (or trying to explain an reddit-subsimulator repost ) I know that those german kids don't have to be the cause for this sickening community, but when the whole comment section was so disgusting, i started visiting reddit, and after a few days i got used to the system, and i realised how amazing the whole reddit community was. Everybody was able to discuss matters in a polite matter, and all the AMAs, Stories and amazing stuff on r/trees got me hooked to the site.

tl/dr the older you get, the more you appreciate and love good content sites like reddit and start to dispise bullshit cancer pages like 9gag.

I didn't even get into the reposting, i started getting into the subject when i was already hooked to reddid. It just made me despise 9gag even more. I will never go back to that place.
