What is a weird combination of food that is actually really good?

I didn't realize until I was a teenager that putting jam with eggs is not normal and that people would be personally threatened by it. They act like it's unhealthy. However, they're perfectly fine with eating a toast with jam and eggs separately, just don't you dare put the eggs on top of the jam covered toast.

Jam and eggs are both breakfast foods... People dump sugar syrup all over their pancakes, they eat globs of sugar filled pastries in the morning, dump packets full of sugar in their coffee, guzzle down orange sugar water, but jam on eggs is where they apparently draw the sweet line you don't cross.

I got in trouble in camp for eating eggs like this. Meanwhile, many kids were making "ghetto cakes." A ghetto cake as I learned is cutting a biscuit in half, smearing butter on both sides, then adding jam, then pouring literal packets of sugar to cover the jam while these kids passed out from what I can only imagine as early onset of diabetes or retardation.
